In this workshop I'll first show you how to play 'MEAN JUMPER BLUES' in the key of C by Blind Lemon Jefferson. We'll break down the song to it’s basic chord changes and then build it back up again using a bunch of Lemon’s famous licks.
Next you’ll learn how to transpose those licks from one chord to the other which will add a whole new layer to the song! But that’s not all!
Taking it to the ‘County-Blues Lick Highway,’ I’ll show you how to take those licks and transpose them to the key of A, which sets you up for the next song called ‘STINGY MAMA’ by Blind Boy Fuller, making the song even more exciting!
With these skills you’ll be able to transpose any lick to any song you already play, thus expanding all kinds of possibilities!!
