BAND IN YOUR HAND
Turn your fingerpicking hand into a virtual one man (or woman) band. Add some real excitement to your playing by learning how to play both lead guitar and a steady bass simultaneously. Even if you’ve never played lead guitar before, this course will give you all the tools you’ll need to add expressive solos to your playing.
You’ll learn over how to apply over 150 licks, across the entire fingerboard in two of the major blues keys - A and E. Using the CAGED system, you’ll also fully understand how to transpose those licks to other keys as well.
Over 2 1/2 hours of video along with 43 pages of tab, PLUS two back up videos where I provide you a rhythm accompaniment so you can practice what you’ve been learning.
What else will you learn? • Solo expressively ... the ‘Call and Response’ solo.• Using tonal differences to achieve different effects. • The B.B. King box.• The blues scale in 5 positions • adding ‘color notes’ to the blues scale. • The ‘Cheat’ bass note - very useful. • ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ - effective use of hammers, pulls and vibrato. • Alternate chords and Double Stops. •
COMPLETE MASTERY OF THE FINGERBOARD!
"Hi Toby – I’ve enjoyed all your lessons I’ve purchased so far, but I have to say the “band in your Hand” one has unlocked something with me I’ve been hoping for, for a long time. At last I can see my way to embellishing favourite 12 bar blues tunes with just the kind of licks I’ve wanted to play for ever without going out of key or “guessing” where the right notes are. Thank you so much! Best wishes,"Chris P.
"I am having a blast with your Band In The Hand course. Finished the first 11 lessons and it has changed the way I play the Blues. My understanding of the entire fretboard has improved 100% and my steady thumb is finally there. Thank you so much. You are the best."Stephen M."This is probably the best video set that Toby has ever produced! You won't be disappointed. Great work Toby!"Rick L.
"I think I've been trying to run before I could walk and these lessons take you from strolling to strutting and cooking, beautifully integrating easily grasped positions on the fretboard with the nuances of expression. Add in the joyful sharing attitude of the teacher and if you are sick of getting nowhere, you're gonna like this medicine." Ron P.
