About
Level: 3/4 The Dead were instrumental in bringing those names - among others - to the attention of a whole new generation. The blues songs they covered and the ones they wrote truly moved me, which led me to create arrangements of those tunes. Each arrangement has some spicy solos in the middle. Check out the video for a example of how I 'll teach all this to you. • Big Boss Man -A shuffle a rhythm while adding some licks on top. I've also arranged a cool solo for you in the middle. • Big River - Alternating bass and how to apply some double stops in your solo. • Deep Ellum Blues. Use moveable chord shapes and lead licks in your solos and provide a solid, alternating bass. • It Hurts Me Too. You'll keep a steady droning bass, I'll show you to add some nice licks and chords on top. • New Speedway Boogie. Here's a tune with a melodic arrangement AND one of Jerry's solos - done in a fingerpicking style!!
