Skill Levels
It's important to know what levels of skill are required to learn the lessons on this website. That way you won't be overwhelmed and frustrated with the materials. Below I've provided descriptions of these levels.
Level 1 - Beginner
Those with no experience at all, or those who play some but are not yet comfortable with the basics.
Level 2 - Intermediate
Students should have mastered basic skills, and be able to tune their instruments, keep time, play the principal chords, be able to fingerpick some basic patterns and know how to play a few tunes with confidence. Knowledge of a few scales or single line melodies is helpful.
Level 3 - Intermediate/Adavanced
Experienced students should be very comfortable with their instruments, play a number of chords, play a few tunes and be able to fingerpick an alternating bass with an independent melody on top.
